Agency scoops B2B Agency of the Year in PR Industry Awards, Hot on the Heels of Words & Pictures Acquisition
Multi-award-winning reputation management agency Definition has been named PRmoment’s B2B Agency of the Year (North) in a momentous week that also saw it acquire internal communications agency Words & Pictures in a move that has doubled the size of the business and created a new force in ‘inside and out’ communication.
The agency, which has offices in London, Leeds & Dubai, was awarded the accolade by judges for the quality of campaign delivery, client service and agency management, including the ‘Defining Futures’ team development programme. The agency, which specialises in reputation management work for businesses and leaders, rebranded from ‘Acceleris’ last year following its acquisition of London agency Limelight, bringing both brands under the new name.
Louise Vaughan, MD, said: “At Definition, we believe in the power of reputation as a driver of personal and business opportunity. As a PR consultancy specialising in reputation management, we define, refine, protect and project the reputation of the businesses and individuals we work for. To be recognised as one of the UK’s top PR agencies in our field is a fantastic endorsement of everything we strive for and is a real ‘defining moment’ of our own.”
The agency’s vision – displayed in every office – is ‘to be an acclaimed agency delivering services that are valued by our clients and rewarding for our people’. A clear growth strategy has seen expansion through organic client growth and niche sector specialisms of business services, transport, health & wellness and food & drink, as well as acquisitions.
As part of its ambitious growth plans, Definition last week revealed its second acquisition in under three years of highly regarded internal communications and employee experience Leeds-based agency Words&Pictures (W&P).
The new, multi-million turnover group has a combined 40 years of experience working for global brands across reputation management and employee engagement. It now ranks in the Top 5 specialist B2B PR & communications agencies in the UK* and boasts a combined tally of 281 UK and international awards covering a wide range of work in corporate communications. The value of the deal was not disclosed.
The enlarged team includes communication & employee engagement specialists, reputation and crisis management experts, former national print & broadcast journalists, design creatives, editorial and content producers and digital marketing teams.
The group’s portfolio of clients spans financial and legal services, motoring and transport, health and wellness, plus education and tech. It includes Direct Line Group, Honda, Southeastern Trains, Phoenix Group, Astrid & Miyu, Benenden Health, Nautilus International, Nexus, Winston & Strawn and the University of Leicester.
