B2B tech PR agency

We do public relations for B2B technology companies

Critical to the success of any tech company is the ability to get its products in front of the right people. This affects everything from fundraising to talent acquisition to growth strategy. No matter how great your technology, if you fail to build a healthy, active customer base, your business will simply not reach its potential.

We are a B2B technology PR agency that helps companies attract leads and convert them into customers through integrated digital PR strategies. We will work closely with your web team, your customer acquisition specialists and your senior management to ensure we deliver results that matter: unlike traditional technology PR companies, we like to be measured by our impact on your business rather than purely on the media coverage we generate (which is important too!).

Technology PR services drive sustainable growth

Our approach is driven by data and our methodology is proven.

  1. We plan based on real insights into your target audience’s online behaviour, the issues that are top of their agenda and their media consumption habits.
  2. We then create integrated digital PR strategies (which extend way beyond traditional PR) to reach them via the media channels they use (the amplification phase). These strategies are closely integrated with your sales function to ensure optimum success.
  3. We measure progress fanatically, which enables us to continually refine and optimise our strategies.
  4. The result for you is more leads, recognition and sustainable growth – something that not every technology PR agency can deliver against.

UK HQ. Global tech PR agency.

We have delivered our technology PR services to over 50 technology companies, including, Xero, XLN Telecom, WorldPayAutomation ConsultantsSonovate, Receipt Bank, Bullhornsales-i, Ultromics and EVault.

From Silicon Valley to Silicon Roundabout, we have retained consultants in nine key geographies who we have selected for their excellent local media contacts, which means we can offer everything from traditional B2B tech PR to digital marketing across the globe.

Bullhorn, the largest recruitment tech company in the world (they are now – but weren’t before we started working with them!), appointed us as its technology PR agency to build its reputation and attract its first UK users. We oversaw Bullhorn’s launch to the UK market and made it the most talked about recruitment software brand. The company now has over 15,000 UK users and is expanding into new sectors.

Business intelligence software company, sales-i, wanted to increase the number of inbound leads it received. The company’s leadership realised that it needed a tech PR agency to raise awareness of its offering via key media outlets, and generate high-quality, downloadable content for sales professionals. We placed articles in big-name publications and we helped compile, design, and draft reports on topics such as building a winning sales team. The result? We became an important extension of sales-i’s business development team.

We have a passionate, slightly geeky team, and have been listed among PR Week’s fastest growing technology PR agencies in the UK for two years. Our work has won awards. Our directors now judge tech PR awards. Our team has worked with some of the biggest names in tech. And over 50 clients have endorsed us.

We’ve staffed our technology PR company with media experts who devour the daily tech news and proactively build their journalist networks. We tailor our stories to appeal to specific journalists based on our understanding of their editorial agendas and we time our pitches to maximise impact.

“Four factors contributed to the unqualified success of Bullhorn’s launch into the UK market. They were: a great product; a clear and intelligent sales strategy; economic conditions forcing recruiters to become more efficient and the work of the Definition team.

“Within six months we were broadly recognised in the recruitment sector and there is no question now that the perception in the UK recruitment community is that Bullhorn is the market leader.”

Peter Linas, International Managing Director, Bullhorn

“We were hugely impressed by the quality and quantity of coverage the team generated for Academia as a result of the Gumley House project, particularly given the quick turn-around. Our profile as a leading provider of education ICT is significantly higher as a result, and this was seen in the increased footfall to our stand at BETT.

“The diversity of the coverage generated was also excellent, and a direct result of the team’s canny positioning of the project from several different angles. Not only did we achieve national broadsheet coverage, but we were also delighted to be featured across such a broad spectrum of education and technology publications.”

Mark McCormack, Apple Business Director, Academia

“Definition is an excellent PR partner for Acxiom. They’ve helped us transform our PR coverage in our target markets, increasing it four-fold over our previous approaches. Definition has also supported many other areas of marketing activity, including client events, webinars and copywriting projects, such as white papers. They understand us, work hard for us and make things happen.”

Jed Mole, European Marketing Director, Acxiom

Hi, I’m Emily. Over the past 10 years, I have worked with both startups and established brands across the B2B and B2C space – with global brands including Amazon, Ring, and Intuit as well as budding technology companies across the financial services, sports, and digital health care sectors. From launching well-known consumer devices such as the Ring Video Doorbell and Amazon’s Kindle, to introducing innovative, international tech startups to the US and UK media markets, I’ve been able to craft compelling stories that ultimately drive business results, build brand awareness, and engage target audiences.

I joined Definition from marketing agency Outcast where I specialised in the tech sector. In my previous role, I led the successful launch of new products and services, developed executive thought leadership plans, crafted brand positioning strategies, managed partner integration announcements, provided media training for executives, and coordinated with the media to share impactful client stories.
