The Royal Alfred Seafarers’ Society is a charity and care home based in Surrey, which provides outstanding care, support and accommodation for former seafarers and their dependants.
In 2015, we were tasked (as a charity PR agency) with delivering a 12-month communications campaign to help the charity celebrate its 150th anniversary.
Definition provided dedicated PR and social media support to publicise several celebratory events, including an open day and residents’ party, for which we secured the attendance of comedian, Tim Vine.
The main celebrations were in July, with VIP guest, HRH The Princess Royal, the Society’s Patron. A commemorative book was produced by our Writers Inc. division. Called Home From Sea. The publication was an agency first for Definition and explores the extraordinary lives of residents and staff past and present.
