Generating leads for a marketing technology agency

Celerity is an award-winning data-driven marketing agency and systems integrator which partners with Adobe, Salesforce, and other software giants.

The Celerity team needed to reach key decision-makers in its target sectors to position itself as the preferred marketing automation enterprise partner. It also wanted to increase lead generation for the company’s marketing technology and data services — especially amongst prospective Adobe Marketing Cloud customers.

Definition’s strategy comprised of a collaboration between our B2B PR and B2B SEO teams. We developed a campaign focusing on the high-quality followed link ‘earning’ in industry-leading marketing titles to make Celerity’s website more ‘authoritative’. Link building of this type is crucial as Google wants to see demonstratable evidence of expertise, authority and trust (EAT).

Our strategy also included onsite content creation and technical SEO.


At the end of the campaign, Celerity ranked for 41 keywords in positions ranging from top to fifth and saw an increase in website Domain Authority from 29 to 37 due to 100+ new followed links with an average DA of 48 built on editorial sites relevant to Celerity.

We secured a total of 160 media hits, and year-on-year traffic increased by 250%. Additionally, the overall ROI for the new business pipeline was valued “in the millions of pounds”.
