Surrey-based charity Your Sanctuary serves men, women and children affected by all forms of domestic abuse. The organisation provides advice, resources and services, all free of charge.
As a charity, Your Sanctuary naturally dedicates most of its resources to its cause. This leaves reduced time and finances to support its incredibly important fundraising efforts. The team recognised the potential that social media had for getting the charity in front of more people and, ultimately, increasing donations. However, Your Sanctuary lacked in-house resources and expertise, so they started looking for a social media agency to help them get started.
Definition was eager to assist Your Sanctuary because of the excellent work they do. Definition’s experienced social team kicked the process off with an immersion session and in-depth research into the charity’s existing social media channels and content.
The output of our project was a bespoke social media strategy, covering a series of resources and guidelines for the charity that would enable its internal team to post like pros. This included a series of core content pillars, a set of graphic and video templates, and a Facebook advertising campaign.
Definition ran Your Sanctuary’s social channels for one month – achieving great results – before handing the reins over to the internal team. Definition’s experts also provided training and consultancy to ensure that they were confident with the tools before we signed off.
